I have tried to inform people that Rosenau was one of the 'Mad Scientists' working around the world to perfect the the development of the Mass Murder Weapon that became known as Vaccines. He is mentioned in Charles Richets (President of the European Eugenics Society) book on Anaphylaxis. Richet coined the word Anaphylaxis and not surprisingly got the fraudulent Nobel Prize for it! The book details the incredible exhaustive horrific attempts by Rosenau and his like to refine the discovery that one injection of a simple harmless protein (Milk) can, on the 2nd injection of the same harmless protein, kill a dog (and other animals) in 10 minutes. This was after waiting 21 days between the 1st and 2nd injection. (Remember Pfizers instruction to WAIT 21 DAYS before taking the 2nd jab?) What better person than Rosenau to attempt to kill healthy young men 'volunteers' by exposing them to what was at the time regarded as a DEADLY FLU. He must have been so disappointed when they all survived without infection............

But Jamie, there was no internet in the 1920s and no Substack, so what would have been the point? In the 1920s, if the press barons didn't like what you had to say, nobody could hear you scream. We are assuming that Rosenau accurately reported and published his team's findings in the literature to the best of his ability. That indicates to me that he wasn't such a bad egg as a researcher, especially compared to today's situation, in which medical research fraud is widely considered to be rampant.

He has a Wikipedia entry that doesn't mention the Spanish Flu. However, the landmark study of Milton J. Rosenau, MD, “Experiments to Determine Mode of Spread of Influenza,” was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 1919.
Apparently, E.C. Rosenow (Edward to his mates) was a different researcher who worked at the Mayo Clinic for many years. He was involved in developing focal infection theory (whereby a localized bacterial infection, such as a dental infection, can cause illness in other parts of the body) among other things.
See pg 42 "All workers have not obtained similar results. Rosenau and Anderson, experimenting on the guinea-pig, observed that urethane, given by...." And pg 82 "Rosenau and Anderson have observed that an injection of placental extract is anaphylactising...."

I don't think so, Milton J. Rosenau of Boston conducted the transmission study, Edward C. Rosenow/au of Chicago did the anaphylactic study referenced by Charles Richet.
Untill I find evidence that Milton J. conducted anaphylaxis experiments, I will assume that in the mists of time the two have been confused & Edwards C's work has been attributed to Milton J.
As to H.G. Wells; summat in the back of my mind says he did work in microbiology & in War of the Worlds, it was "germs" that "did the Martions in"!

My wife’s grandfather was a soldier in the First World War, and described to my wife when she was a little girl the privations, injuries and deaths that were so common. He escaped with a piece of shrapnel somewhere (I can’t recall where). By the time he was telling my wife as a child, this was 50 years later, so I suppose he was then in his seventies.
Before the war, he had shown keen interest in mechanics and had begun to study as an engineer but after the war, he went to medical school and had a career as a doctor.
Of all the tales he told her, my wife said that he never once mentioned the tens of millions of people alleged to have died immediately after the war of Spanish flu.
Others have pointed out that in every town & village in Britain, there are monuments put up by local people to commemorate the young men who mostly volunteered & didn’t come home. As a child of the sixties myself, living in such a village in Kent, I would read the names of those on our memorial, often noticing two or even three identical surnames. Whole families were ended. There were a notable number of elderly ladies who looked like nothing much had changed since Edwardian days who I now wonder included those who had been widowed young, or whose betrothed had been killed in Flanders and never met anyone else.

It was more about explaining why my family (1950s) was so small after two World Wars (no uncles, aunts or cousins) and why some men didn't have legs or were "shell shocked". There are some contemporary accounts from people like Eleanor McBean "The Poisoned Needle" and "Swine Flu Expose". As a girl she was caring for vaccination victims and none of the unvaccinated carers got sick. Also the report of the Surgeon General 1919 vol 1 pg 37 about vaccine injuries. Similar SG reports in 1918. But I did not see number in the tens of millions. At the time they thought it was Pfeiffer's bacillus not a mythical virus. Do you think the Rosenau reports themselves look made up? He was military so he would not be able to go on Joe Rogan and blow up the scandal.... In the CDC 1918 vital statistics report for the US (published in 1920 - granted, it is in PDF form), it says there were 477,467 deaths from influenza & pneumonia of all forms and 244,681 deaths from "just influenza". Almost all of this occurred within - it is said - the last 4 months of the year, whereas the preceding 8 months had almost the same number of deaths as 1915 (their point of comparison).
This 477,467 deaths purportedly accounts for a bit more than the entire net increase of deaths from 1,068,932 in 1917 to 1,471,357 in 1918. Male deaths were 806,073 and female deaths were 665,294.
But this is an archived PDF copy of a report purportedly published in 1920 (tabulating 1918 figures).
My grandfather was a survivor of the 1918 flu during basic training. My dad who is 90 will remember the story, but I was told granddad got the "Spanish Flu". Hume, in which she examines in detail the work of both and how Bechamp was RIGHT, Pasteur was WRONG, but the establishment of the newly-forming Medical Industrial Complex went with MONEY, instead of honest medical exploration... The one thing that was bigger than ANY medicine or advance, as far as I can tell, is the advice of Florence Nightingale, who admonished everyone to simply BE CLEAN... When handwashing really took hold, we became MUCH healthier, but not because of the destruction of "germs," only the tamping down of the detrimental effects of exposure to a lot of NASTINESS... such as fecal matter on the hands of children, doctors, cooks, etc etc... Well, you can imagine.
There is some controversy now about whether there actually IS SOMETHING that we'd call an "immune system," because the body seems to not behave in ways that we'd long thought, and simply were not told the truth... But I don't know about that. I DO understand the concept that the bacteria we find in our bodies is only there to help break down tissue that is dead or dying... if I've worded that properly. There are no "viruses" that have ever been found. No "attacking" or airborne pathogens, only toxins in the environment that somehow are ingested or enter through a skin lesion, etc... Spoiled food, tainted water, etc. Perhaps no pathogens at all! I don't know, but it's all sort of up for re-examination... Fascinating stuff.

I am with you on how contagion and virus theory is a lie. I care for my 18 month old grandson four days a week, have been caring for him for a year. When he gets a cold or a flu my daughter and her husband always get sick and suggest they are all contagious. I think a large component of that is mental ie conditioning. Do you agree we can assume ourselves exposed to something and get physiological symptoms?

He is mentioned in Charles Richets (President of the European Eugenics Society) book on Anaphylaxis. Richet coined the word Anaphylaxis and not surprisingly got the fraudulent Nobel Prize for it! The book details the incredible exhaustive horrific attempts by Rosenau and his like to refine the discovery that one injection of a simple harmless protein (Milk) can, on the 2nd injection of the same harmless protein, kill a dog (and other animals) in 10 minutes. This was after waiting 21 days between the 1st and 2nd injection. (Remember Pfizers instruction to WAIT 21 DAYS before taking the 2nd jab?) What better person than Rosenau to attempt to kill healthy young men 'volunteers' by exposing them to what was at the time regarded as a DEADLY FLU. He must have been so disappointed when they all survived without infection............

But Jamie, there was no internet in the 1920s and no Substack, so what would have been the point? In the 1920s, if the press barons didn't like what you had to say, nobody could hear you scream. We are assuming that Rosenau accurately reported and published his team's findings in the literature to the best of his ability. That indicates to me that he wasn't such a bad egg as a researcher, especially compared to today's situation, in which medical research fraud is widely considered to be rampant.

Apparently, E.C. Rosenow (Edward to his mates) was a different researcher who worked at the Mayo Clinic for many years. He was involved in developing focal infection theory (whereby a localized bacterial infection, such as a dental infection, can cause illness in other parts of the body) among other things.

100 year purge
My wife’s grandfather was a soldier in the First World War, and described to my wife when she was a little girl the privations, injuries and deaths that were so common. He escaped with a piece of shrapnel somewhere (I can’t recall where). By the time he was telling my wife as a child, this was 50 years later, so I suppose he was then in his seventies.
Before the war, he had shown keen interest in mechanics and had begun to study as an engineer but after the war, he went to medical school and had a career as a doctor.
Of all the tales he told her, my wife said that he never once mentioned the tens of millions of people alleged to have died immediately after the war of Spanish flu.
Others have pointed out that in every town & village in Britain, there are monuments put up by local people to commemorate the young men who mostly volunteered & didn’t come home. As a child of the sixties myself, living in such a village in Kent, I would read the names of those on our memorial, often noticing two or even three identical surnames. Whole families were ended. There were a notable number of elderly ladies who looked like nothing much had changed since Edwardian days who I now wonder included those who had been widowed young, or whose betrothed had been killed in Flanders and never met anyone else.
There are no memorials to the alleged dead of the Spanish flu, anywhere.
I’ve done a very rough survey, finding nobody my age (I’m 64) who was taught about the Spanish flu at school. Try it yourself. Those under 25, they all were told about it. My kids certainly were.
A Russian speaker looked up the Russian delegation version of International Health Regulations related to trade and commerce, the first such meeting after the war, in the original Russian.
There’s no mention whatsoever of acute respiratory illnesses at all, flu or otherwise. All the old diseases, like plague, are listed & what to do to minimise problems from cross border trade. Nothing on flu at all.
The conclusion I draw from this is it didn’t happen at all.
It was probably inserted into the medical literature afterwards and then excerpted into the public literature, referring to fraudulent papers. Who would ever go & pull a 1920s manuscript from the British Lending Library? And if they did they’d look authentic.
Mike, I also did not hear much growing up in England about the flu. It was more about explaining why my family (1950s) was so small after two World Wars (no uncles, aunts or cousins) and why some men didn't have legs or were "shell shocked". For example, VAERS is said to only contain 1% of vaccine injuries. Virology is, after all, propaganda for the vaccine industry. "Memorials" are to make us feel better about sending young men to die for nothing at taxpayer expense. So no big stones erected to celebrate deaths from diseases spread over several years from 1915 to late 1920's caused by chemical weapons and vaccines..but I repeat myself. There are some contemporary accounts from people like Eleanor McBean "The Poisoned Needle" and "Swine Flu Expose". As a girl she was caring for vaccination victims and none of the unvaccinated carers got sick. Also the report of the Surgeon General 1919 vol 1 pg 37 about vaccine injuries. Similar SG reports in 1918. But I did not see number in the tens of millions. At the time they thought it was Pfeiffer's bacillus not a mythical virus. Do you think the Rosenau reports themselves look made up? He was military so he would not be able to go on Joe Rogan and blow up the scandal.... I just discovered one additional 1918 Flu section in "What Really Makes You Ill" on page 495. One snippet: another reason so much aspirin was used is because the Bayer patent just expired! The co-author, Dawn Lester has reviewed a lot of contemporary accounts to write her book, so we need her to weigh in now! Cheers

In the CDC 1918 vital statistics report for the US (published in 1920 - granted, it is in PDF form), it says there were 477,467 deaths from influenza & pneumonia of all forms and 244,681 deaths from "just influenza". Almost all of this occurred within - it is said - the last 4 months of the year, whereas the preceding 8 months had almost the same number of deaths as 1915 (their point of comparison).
This 477,467 deaths purportedly accounts for a bit more than the entire net increase of deaths from 1,068,932 in 1917 to 1,471,357 in 1918. Male deaths were 806,073 and female deaths were 665,294.
But this is an archived PDF copy of a report purportedly published in 1920 (tabulating 1918 figures).
My grandfather was a survivor of the 1918 flu during basic training. My dad who is 90 will remember the story, but I was told granddad got the "Spanish Flu". I know that he was inoculated because he told me that he got a shot with a needle the size of a nail lol. He was medically discharged after he recovered and fortunately did not have to serve overseas. Interestingly, he survived a copperhead snake bite when he was younger (they were sure he was a"goner").

However, in his extended Egyptian family and among the hundreds of workers and peasants who worked for them, no one died of the flu. My grandfather alone was building a stretch of the Cairo Suez road with hundreds of labourers - there was no machinery in those day. It was all hearsay generated by the yellow press.

I understand generalities and some of the history... I am not a scientist, but I like to read and get the gist of things... Rockefeller (John D) wanted to find a way to make a PROFIT from the waste generated by refining oil into petroleum. He was giving many of the medical schools in the Eastern US big gobs of money, so they'd be beholden to him... then he had some smart guys figure out how to make drugs out of the same kind of elements that had been used in medicines for many many hundreds, even thousands of years, except SYNTHETIC ones, made from his oil trash! He then told the medical schools to adhere to his SYNTHETIC concoctions instead, or he'd pull their funding. Yes, he was a flaming psychopath, and it sure appears that he was a rabid eugenicist as well.
This was after Pasteur was funded by the French govt. to basically undo science in favor of creating a "science" that brought in MONEY... He was a plagiarist and a killer-- he experimented on many helpless animals but also on PEOPLE, and not with a lot of good results... There's a very good book that came out in I think 1926, called "Bechamp or Pasteur" by Ethel D. The one thing that was bigger than ANY medicine or advance, as far as I can tell, is the advice of Florence Nightingale, who admonished everyone to simply BE CLEAN... When handwashing really took hold, we became MUCH healthier, but not because of the destruction of "germs," only the tamping down of the detrimental effects of exposure to a lot of NASTINESS... such as fecal matter on the hands of children, doctors, cooks, etc etc... There is some controversy now about whether there actually IS SOMETHING that we'd call an "immune system," because the body seems to not behave in ways that we'd long thought, and simply were not told the truth... But I don't know about that. I DO understand the concept that the bacteria we find in our bodies is only there to help break down tissue that is dead or dying... if I've worded that properly. There are no "viruses" that have ever been found. No "attacking" or airborne pathogens, only toxins in the environment that somehow are ingested or enter through a skin lesion, etc... I, too, thought Bechamp was an EXCELLENT fellow... humble and the very model of a scientist... brilliant and it was his LIFE... I got the idea of the science becoming about MONEY from Hume's book, I think. Or from something I read around the same time I read her book, perhaps, I donut rememble. ;)

I am with you on how contagion and virus theory is a lie. I care for my 18 month old grandson four days a week, have been caring for him for a year. When he gets a cold or a flu my daughter and her husband always get sick and suggest they are all contagious. I think a large component of that is mental ie conditioning. Do you agree we can assume ourselves exposed to something and get physiological symptoms?
I tell them I don’t believe in contagion and I haven’t gotten sick yet. Haven’t been sick in years and years.
