That's funny because it's exactly what I said. First I thought, "Awesome! Dire wolves!" And when they said the pups were not in fact dire wolves and Colossal wasn't trying to make them, I said, "Why the fuck not?" followed by, "Then what the fuck's the point?" Wolves make wolves every day and it's not in the news. And "It depends on how you define 'species'" is the 21st century's, "It depends on what the meaning of 'is' is."
This concept is becoming more and more interesting: "viral DNA into their own genome." So they say retrovirus were integrated into the human genome, etc. Or I have read that many ancient virus are now thought to have become part of the human genome. They claim one of these is necessary for forming placenta. I wonder what humans did before it?
Anyways, when they were sequencing all these little bits, what exact part of sequencing the bits on their "Illumina" machines proves that the bits they say are virus didn't just come directly from the genome in the first place? Ditto for when they say there is X virus deeply lodged in Y deep tissue, e.g. herpes. If it is in the genome and you sequenced it in a mish-mash of fragments of human tissue, what part of that necessitates the same sequence to be from an exogenuous virus?

In the 1960's they were teaching us that dinosaurs and cavemen existed. The dramatic pictures from the weekly 'newsletter' had watermark captions at the bottom that said "Artist's Conception". Children didn't read or comprehend the caption, but were awed by the picture and Teacher reading the article. On Saturday cartoons we had "The Flintstones" to reinforce the caveman dinosaur existence.
I have a novel plan - why don't we just look after the species that are alive now, including us? We seem to be killing them off faster than we can ever bring them back.

It is ringworm when I was schoolteacher, I remembered putting my hand on a students shaving head and then looking down and seeing circles all over his scalp. I had circles all over face I didn’t know what the hell it was. Finally, a doctor told me it was ringworm. A few years later, dealing with ringworm Intermittently, I meant by now, Wife. After a few kisses it may be a week She had ringworm all over her Face. Thinking back about it it’s hard to believe she is still my Wife, as she was not too happy With me. What is Going on here? Does the train invite the Fungus, Providing an optimal place to Thrive?
And also, my workout partner in close quarter combat training, one day showed up with what appeared to be ringworm all over his body after an intense chest chest fighting match with me. Empirically, it looks like there is some sort of transfer going on. But I don’t know how to explain it. I felt very bad for him because he had it all over his body and face after fighting with me.
